ELASTOMERIC POLYUREA PRODUCTS

ELASTAFLEX™ CR is specifically created as a secondary containment liner for hydrocarbons including crude oil, diesel fuel, gasoline, and alcohols. This very economical polyurea exhibits very high tensile strength and elongation. ELASTAFLEX™ CR is a unique blend of aliphatic and aromatic polymer chemistry with greater color/gloss retention and is more UV resistant than aromatic polyureas. Unlike most spray-applied polyureas, ELASTAFLEX™ CR is available with SPI’s cutting-edge ULTRA BOND™ technology. SPI’s advanced ULTRA BOND™ chemistry is coined “the duct tape molecule”. AMP™ 100 ALIPHATIC MODIFIED POLYUREA

AMP™ 100 ALIPHATIC MODIFIED POLYUREA AMP™ 100 spray-applied, plural-component polyurea is a unique synergy of aliphatic and aromatic polymer chemistry. AMP™ 100 pure polyurea is formulated using amine terminated polyether resins, amine chain extenders, and aliphatic and aromatic prepolymers. For many applications this highly cross-linked elastomer offers an economical alternative to pure aliphatic protective coatings. AMP™ 100 can be used as a stand-alone product or as a topcoat over aromatic polyureas, polyurethanes, or hybrids. At additional cost, AMP™ 100 is available with SPI’s cutting-edge ULTRA BOND™ technology. SPI’s advanced ULTRA BOND™ chemistry is coined “the duct tape molecule”. POLYSHIELD HT™ SLOW FC is a state-of-the-art, high- performance, sprayed, plural-component, pure polyurea elastomer, that is compliant with FDA 21 CFR 175 300 (c)/ (d) high temperature, heat-sterilized, non-acid aqueous food contact. This system is based on amine-terminated polyether resins, amine chain extenders and prepolymers. It provides a flexible, tough, resilient monolithic membrane with water and chemical resistance.

POLYSHIELD HT™ TRAFFIC COAT is a state-of-the-art, high-performance, spray-applied, plural-component, pure polyurea elastomer. This system is based on amine-terminated polyether resins, amine chain extenders, and MDI prepolymers. It provides a flexible, resilient, tough, monolithic membrane with water and chemical resistance.

 

WATERSAFE® II 100% SOLID AROMATIC POLYUREA

WATERSAFE® II is formulated for high tensile and elongation properties to bridge cracks and accommodate movement on cementitious substrates. WATERSAFE® II is ANSI/NSF 61 compliant as tested by an ANSI accredited lab and is approved for direct contact with potable water. It is a fast setting, rapid curing, 100% solids, flexible aromatic, two component spray polyurea that can be applied to suitably prepared concrete and metal surfaces. It may be applied in single or multiple applications without appreciable sagging and is relatively insensitive to moisture and temperature during processing allowing application in most temperatures.

 

AQUASEAL™ ELASTOMERIC BRIDGING POLYUREA

AQUASEAL™ is a state-of-the-art, high performance, spray applied plural-component pure polyurea elastomer. This system is based on amine-terminated polyether resins, amine chain extenders, and MDI prepolymers. PS-33 is a high performance, single component, polyurethane sealant which may be used for a variety of general construction and roofing applications.PS-33 withstands extreme weather conditions and cures to a flexible weatherproof seal and bonds to most common building substrates including masonry, concrete, stone, ceramics, wood, steel, aluminum, asphalt, building paper, BUR, concrete, fiberglass and vinyl.

 

Ultra-Flex 700 (Membrane)

ULTRA-FLEX 700 is a two- component, fast-setting, fast-curing, solvent-free, flexible, high-performance, high-solids, polyurethane, elastomeric, water-proofing coating that can be applied to suitably prepared interior or exterior concrete, plywood and metal surfaces. Due to its fast gel time, Ultra- Flex 700 is suitable for applications in temperatures as low as 20°F (-6°C). It may be applied in single or multiple applications. Ultra-Flex 700 is also relatively insensitive to moisture and temperature allowing applications in varied temperatures and humidity.

 

Ultra-Flex 750 (Polyurethane Topcoat)

Ultra-Flex 750 is a two component, fast setting, rapid curing, solvent free, 100% solids, hybrid, aliphatic, polyurea elastomeric membrane applied to interior or exterior concrete, plywood and metal surfaces. Suitable for single or multiple applications in temperatures as low as 20°F. Available in Dolphin Gray and Tan.

 

Concrete Waterproofing Systems

CWS 100™

Spray Applied Lifetime Waterproofing

CWS100™ is a modified sodium silicate which is sprayed onto cured concrete. It forms a barrier inside the concrete which waterproofs and protects the concrete from corrosion and degradation for the design life of the structure.

CWS100™ reacts with calcium to form a water insoluble calcium silicate hydrate gel that seals the cracks, pores and capillaries of the concrete. It will seal cracks in the concrete up to 2.2mm and will remain reactive in the concrete to seal future hairline cracks on contact with water. Topps Seal® Base Coat

Topps Seal® Base Coat all rubber elastomeric provides an economical foundation layer to Topps Seal® coating systems. The enhanced added adhesive package works with the permanently flexible rubbers to provide superior bonding. The Topps Seal finish coat becomes inseparable as these two layers meet and fuse together. The completed combination of elongation capabilities and tensile strength provide superior resistance to meet all climate and thermal change demands. The interlinking network of components unify into a seam-free, single-ply layer of rubber that applies a virtual lock onto existing roofing membranes. The result: a highly elastic seamless top layer bound to the resilient foundation base layer, producing new weathering protection to existing roofs that can benefit from a maintenance procedure for extended roof life. Use Bondit™ bleed through blocker first over bitumen. Specify Topps Seal Base Coat for EPDM/PVC for those specific applications.

 

Topps Seal® WB

Elastomeric Topps Seal® WB, with enhanced adhesive and flow agents, easily produces an attractive and effective blemish-free new weathering surface for roofs and walls that repels moisture, UV, and weather. The smooth and more even finish assure improved results with any application. Special polymers, blended with pure titanium dioxide, develop the rubber like shield that remains pliable and will not yellow over time. Achieves superior bleed through and stain blocking too. The high resin content eliminates need for primer, in most circumstances. Applies to bituminous surfaces, metal, masonry, block, and concrete. Cured Topps Seal WB is effective in all climates.

 

PolyCore™ /PolyCore II™

PolyCore™ stitch bonded 100% polyester reinforcing membrane makes every repair stronger. The precisely spaced warp provides integrated channels for the liquid rubber to flow through, interlocking and further increasing dimensional integrity. PolyCore II™, with its flatter profile, permits complete encapsulation with less coating.

 

Polyprene®

Heavily plasticized and fibered all rubber Polyprene makes repairs and can’t get brittle because it contains no bitumen or other vulnerable compounds. Versatile and easily installed between laps or anywhere that repair is required. Perfect where materials of differing coefficients meet and total flexibility is required. Replaces ordinary asphaltic cements with approximately 5x the strength and 10x the elongation. The unusual compound that provides a very high solid content also results in very minimal shrinkage and a high build at areas where a durable seal is typically needed most. Available both in heavy brush grade for general use, trowel grade for areas where a stiffer cement is required, and caulk cartridges for those difficult to get to areas. Applies quickly and easily with a stiff brush or rubber glove in one layer without threat of mud cracking. Ready to use with no mixing. Will not dry out or become brittle at cold temperature extremes. Use in conjunction with PolyCore™ reinforcing membrane where added reinforcement is needed.

 

ClearSeal™ ​Masonry and Concrete Primer

This penetrating, clear, thin primer is used to prepare porous, non-painted masonry and concrete for sealing with Topps Seal® and other coatings. ClearSeal™ absorbs and bonds light surface oxidation and forms an initial seal beneath the surface. Prepares oxidized or chalked surfaces so they may be coated over with excellent adhesion by a sealant like Topps Seal. ClearSeal™ applies at approximately one gallon per 100 – 150 sq. feet. The coverage will depend on usage. 

 

Bondit™

Bondit allows for instant compatibility of Topps Seal® solvent based products over stable black bituminous systems for resurfacing them with rubber durability and the Topps Seal Energy Star® protective layer. Its tenacious adhesive bond to asphalt bitumen on the bottom side also becomes a barrier to asphalt to prevent discoloring the finish coat. The strong chemical affinity of Bondit to Topps Seal on the top is inseparable, making the system complete. Bondit dries in as little as 2 hours for quick project completion.

Roadware 10 Minute Concrete Mender

Roadware 10 Minute Concrete Mender is a high-penetration two-part hybrid urethane that combines with sand to form a tough instant polymer concrete. This nearly water thin formula is designed for Microdoweling™ deep in the host concrete creating extremely high bond strengths, reinforcement of the repair area as well as permanent repairs.

 

Roadware Flexible Cement II

Description: Roadware Flexible Cement II is a two-component hydrophobic hybrid polyurethane system for maintaining control joints, repairing cracks, and filling spalls in portland concrete. The hydrophobic properties of this material allow it to chase water molecules out of the way, preventing them from reacting with the curing process. This allows Flexible Cement II to perform well in areas of moisture such as ground slabs, freezers, and containment areas. Flexible Cement II is designed to work in both asphalt and concrete to provide a tough weather resistant seal and at the same time prevent further deterioration of repair area surfaces. It is capable of rebonding slabs, cracks and delaminations. This material may be used with specified aggregate to create mix-in-place polymer concrete that withstands thermal and shock movement.

General

Proper roofing system design and selection requires the consideration of many factors. Although our expertise is in roofing system design and materials manufacturing, and not in engineering, architecture, or specialized roof consulting, GAF does have extensive experience in the practical aspects of roofing.

Structural Loading Capacity

One of the most important factors in determining the suitability of a deck for a garden roof is the ability of the structure to hold the imposed loads.  Roof decks can be designed to support anticipated loads so structural loading capacity may not be an issue on new construction projects. However, not all existing structures are capable of supporting the added weight of garden roof components. The 2 kinds of loads that are imposed on roofs are: dead and live loads. Dead loads comprise of permanent material, including those that are a part of, or below, the garden roof. Elements that will need to be accounted for in dead load calculations include, but are not limited to:

Nexseal Barrier Cote

Nexseal Barrier Cote is a fast setting very dense cement grout that utilizes Nexgen's unique waterproofing technology together with a fast setting high strength grout to provide a unique system for establishing a barrier between concrete or masonry and the surface coating. Nexseal Barrier Cote reacts with the cement component within to create an enhanced hydration of the cement particles reducing cracking and eliminating the ability of moisture to cause delaminating from the substrate. Nexseal Barrier Cote is able to withstand dramatic hydrostatic pressures while locking on to the substrate. This makes it an excellent product for use as a protective barrier coating and repairing damaged areas in concrete and masonry.

 

Nexseal Plug

Nexseal Plug is a dark, non-shrinking grout formulated to immediately stop flowing water through concrete cracks and holes in seconds. Using an advanced formulation Nexseal Plug hardens in excess of the concrete into which it has been placed to ensure your repairs stay where they are placed.

 

Nexseal Honeycomb Grout

Nexseal Honeycomb Grout is a fast setting very dense cement grout that utilizes Nexseal's unique waterproofing technology. It is especially designed to fill large honeycombs and voids in concrete. Nexseal Honeycomb Grout requires only mixing with water, making it simple to use. Nexseal Honeycomb Grout eliminates the ability of moisture to cause delaminating from the substrate and is able to withstand dramatic hydrostatic pressures while locking on to the substrate.

 

Nexseal 1000

Nexseal 1000 is a surface-applied crystalline waterproofing treatment incorporating Nexgen technology for the protection and repair of existing concrete structures against the ingress of water. Nexseal 1000 is a dry powder that when mixed with water is applied as a slurry coat to the positive or negative side of concrete substrates. Nexseal 1000 is designed to provide a permanent in-depth waterproofing solution. The Nexgen state of the art crystalline technology works over time to create an enhanced hydration reaction between cement particles and moisture that improves concrete´s own natural abilities. This reaction causes millions of long pin like crystals to form within the concrete matrix effectively stopping water penetration and waterborne contaminants permanently.

 

Nexseal Damp-proofer

Nexseal Damp-proofer is a unique chemical treatment designed to waterproof and protect concrete from water penetration of pores and capillaries. Nexseal Damp-proofer is chemically similar to Nexseal 1000 only less potent and is purposely designed to be a surface applied treatment that penetrates into concrete for an in-depth waterproofing solution. Nexseal Damp-proofer is used as a waterproofing product where hydrostatic pressure is minor or not relevant. Nexseal Damp-proofer also makes a cost effective alternative as a second coat for Nexseal 1000. Nexseal Damp-proofer works within the concrete's substrate to react with un-hydrated cement particles and water to grow crystals within the concrete mass. In doing so it will make the concrete permanently waterproof. 

 

Nexseal Waterproofing Admixture

Nexseal Waterproofing Admixture is a next generation, crystalline, waterproofing admix specifically designed to be fully compatible with concrete mixes with high dosages of PCE superplasticizers and low water-cement ratios. Unlike all other crystalline products Nexseal Waterproofing Admixture will not negatively impact the strength of low w/c superplasticizer concretes and will, in fact, increase it.

 

Nexseal Crack and Joint Filler

Nexseal Crack and Joint is a high-strength waterproof fibre-reinforced shrinkage compensating grout that is specifically formulated with our proven crystalline technology which combines chemically with water and concrete to form millions of needle-shape crystals. These crystals grow in all directions to fill any capillary pores of the grout to block the passage of water.
